Listening Module

This task is the same in both the Academic and General Training modules of the IELTS. It has 4 parts and 40 questions altogether. Each part contains 10 questions and it lasts approximately 30 minutes and an extra 10 minutes to transfer your answers onto a separate answer sheet.

NB:

You will hear the recording only once. The instructions and the questions will tell you what type of information you need to listen for, and the type of answer you need to give.

 Part 2:  

You will hear a monologue on a general topic.

(e.g., a radio broadcast).
